Movie lovers are waiting eagerly for Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming action entertainer Pathaan. Entire Bollywood is pinning its hopes on this biggie to revive its fortunes at the box office and start the new year with a bang. The film is releasing in an extravagant fashion on 25 January 2023. In the meantime, the film according to sources completed its censor formalities.
Censor Board members after watching the film suggested many cuts and later passed the film for theatrical screening with a U/A certificate. The film's runtime came up to 146 minutes (2 hours 26 minutes 16 seconds). The film stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in important roles under the direction of Siddharth Anand.
It is known that the film ran into controversy due to Deepika Padukone's bikinis in the song Besharam. Following this few approached Delhi High Court for a ban on the film. In these circumstances, Delhi High Court asked the makers to remove objectionable parts for the film's OTT screening. The court directed the makers to submit the final version on 20 February 2023. The OTT streaming will be on Amazon Prime on 25 April 2023.
