Chiranjeevi is getting ready to entertain movie lovers with his action entertainer Waltair Veerayya. The film directed by Bobby stars Raviteja in an important role while Shruti Haasan and Catherine Tresa are playing the female leads. The film is racing for a spectacular release on 13 January 2023.
In the meantime, Bobby speaking to scribes revealed why the film was titled Waltair Veerayya. He said ' During Venky Mama shooting in Yaganti, Nassar gave me a book, and the name of the character, Veerayya attracted me a lot. At that time I told my team that we should do a film with Veerayya as the title. Chiranjeevi's father when he was in Bapatla, a constable did a photoshoot paying Rs 500. Chiranjeevi always says that he came to Chennai only with the snaps of those photoshoots. Even the constable's name is Veerayya. This sent a nostalgic feeling. Chiranjeevi too liked it and we locked the title Waltair Veerayya'
Bobby added ' Waltair Veerayya's role had the liberty to include all kinds of mass mannerisms and so we did not forcibly include either Gangleader or Muthamesthri vibrations, swag or title. Chiranjeevi has the grace, valor and humor to do it and it came out instantly. I am elated that Chiranjeevi after watching the first copy told me that ' we are scoring a blockbuster'.
