Karan Johar Says Telugu Films Are Profitable For Him

Karan Slams Heroes Exorbitant Remunerations

Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar is one of the prominent personalities who runs the show in the Hindi land. His Dharma Productions banner consistently deliver big ticket films. He has very good relations with almost all top stars. He made some sensational comments regarding heroes remunerations during a podcast. He slammed some heroes without naming them that they want crores as their acting fee but unable to draw crowds to theatres. He also said that he has lost heavily for many of his films. 

Karan Johar reminded Yash Chopra's words that Films never fail but it's budget decides the result. He said that he has started Dharma Productions as a start-up with two persons. He said that his film Student Of The Year through which he introduced Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra turned out to be a hit but he lost his investment for that film. He continued saying that Cinema is his emotion and his heart always remain with Hindi cinema. But, he said as a businessman Telugu films always fetch him good profits.

Karan Johar also said that major chunk of the movie's budget goes to the Heroes. Though their films are unable to collect 5 crores on film's first day, they ask for 20 crores as remuneration, is this fair asks Karan.
