Censor Board shocks Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan

Pathaan Lands in Censor Problem

Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan after a long hibernation is getting ready to entertain movie lovers with his upcoming film Pathaan. Expectations are soaring high on the film directed by Siddharth Anand which is releasing on 25 January 2023. The film's promotions are driving youngsters crazy as the two songs released till now showed Deepika Padukone indulging in intense glamor treat and Shah Rukh Khan flaunting his six-pack abs.

Already the song Besharam created a huge controversy and even before that died down, Censor Board shocked Pathaan makers. The Censor Board refused to censor the film and suggested a few changes and asked the makers to come with a revised copy. CBFC chief Prasoon Joshi speaking about it said "CBFC always has a tough task to strike the right balance between audience sensibilities and creative expression and we have stayed true to this spirit in the certification on film Pathaan too."

Joshi went on to add, "Certification as per the right category is important and the committee made sure that due care is taken in terms of the film’s age appropriateness for the relevant category. Also, the makers have been advised modifications in the film with a balanced and wholistic view as per the CBFC guidelines (sic)."
