While Waltair Veerayya, Veera Simha Reddy, Varisu / Vaarasudu, Thunivu / Thegimpu are confirmed their slots, Kalyanam Kamaneeyam is yet to make an official announcement. Meanwhile another film announced its arrival for Pongal. Rahul Vijay, Shivani Rajasekhar starrer Vidya Vasula Aham is announced to release on January 14th. Vidya Vasula Aham is about a young married couple and their clash of egos. The first look poster and a teaser released so far has conveyed that it is a romantic drama with egoism as the root of differences between couple played by Rahul Vijay as Vasu and Shivani Rajasekhar as Vidya. The film is directed by Manikanth Gelli who earlier directed Thellavarite Guruvaram starring Simha Koduri. Music has been composed by Kalyani Malik. The makers announced that the film will hit the screens worldwide on January 14 with a caption, " సంక్రాంతికి అల్లుడే కాదు... కూతురు కూడా వస్తుంది! "
If all films announced get released, This will be the sixth film that will hit screens this Sankranthi. It has been already in discussion how to allocate theatres for already announced films.
