Horror film Masooda which was released with almost no buzz has turned into a good success fetching profits for the producer. The film with no big star cast not much publicity is purely driven on the word of the mouth. Right from the first day, the film garners good talk from the audiences. As we don't regularly get quality horror films in Telugu, Masooda captures that void and scored a hit. Though the runtime is a bit lengthy, the film has managed to engage audiece with its thrilling content especially in second half and climax.
Masooda was released in theatres with a target to collect Rs 1.5 crores as the break even figure. The film collected Rs 5 crores in two weeks already earning a profit of Rs 3.5 crores. The film is still making some noise at cities and plexes. News is thar the makers are planning to bring the next part of Masooda. But, it will be a prequel but not sequel. It will be about the origin of Masooda and how she gets married to execute her evil plans.
Masooda stars Sangeetha, Thiruveer, Bandhavi, Kavya Kalyanram, Sathyam Rajesh and Subhalekha Sudhakar in main roles. Written and Directed by Sai Kiran and Rahul Yadav Nakka produced the film under Swadharm Entertainment's banner. Popular Producer Dil Raju released the film allover under his SVC distribution.
