Brahmastra makers desperate attempt to reach breakeven

Brahmastra makers slash ticket rates to attract movie lovers

When National Cinema Day was postponed from September 16 to September 23, everyone came to the conclusion that the multiplex chain of theatres across the country have taken this decision only to help the makers of Brahmastra to gain main profits and reach breakeven at the increased ticket rates.

But still, Brahmastra started struggling at the box office. Even though the film grossed more than Rs 200crs, owing to the huge budget, it is becoming difficult to reach break even. In the midst of all this, on National Cinema Day on September 23, the makers got a pleasant surprise when people thronged to watch the Brahmastra spectacle at just Rs 75. With profits increasing on September 23, the makers of Brahmastra realized that reduced ticket rates will do the trick for them more than the increased ticket rates.

So the makers now along with the multiplex chain came with a Dasara offer. Brahmastra will be available for watching in theatres on September 26-September 29 at Rs 100. Finally, it seems the makers of Brahmastra realized that low ticket rates will be helping them to earn more profits. Many feel this will help the Telugu releases based on how they fare at the box office.
