Telugu people are die-hard movie lovers and they encourage movies with strong and creative content despite facing the calamities like coronavirus and testing times like the financial crunch and growing prices of commodities. This is the reason why Tollywood is shining when all other industries like Bollywood are experiencing a slump. Movie lovers got excited with films like Sita Ramam, Bimbisara and Karthikeya over the last couple of weeks and they expected the same on August 19, This Friday.
The excitement increased as Dhanush's dubbed film Thiru was released one day before and films like Aadi Sai Kumar's Tees Maar Khan, Sunil's Wanted PanduGod, Tejaswi Madivada's Commitment, Maataraani Mounamidhi, Am Aha, etc hit the screens. But all the films turned out to be damp squibs. Diehard movie lovers who dared to enter the theatres to enjoy themselves hoping for miracles are seen coming out of them running scared.
All the films got affected by bad, routine stories, insipid screenplay and direction, and pathetic performances. Disappointed movie lovers who thronged the theatres are seen cursing them. Now they are hoping that Vijay Devrakonda's Liger will quench their thirst at the box office.
