Maniratnam's dream project Ponniyin Selvan is racing for a spectacular release on September 30,2022.The film is exciting movie lovers and the teaser released got tremendous response. Now it is coming out that Maniratnam canned an extravagant song. Inside talk is Maniratnam shot a song for 25 days featuring more than 300 dancers. 100 dancers have been roped in from Mumbai. The song shot extravagantly in the backdrop of lavish sets will be released soon.
The film stars Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Ashwin Kakamanu in pivotal roles.Rahman is the music director for the film which will be released in two parts.
The film is a based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's 1955 novel Ponniyin Selvan. Mani Ratnam, under his production studio Madras Talkies, along with Allirajah Subaskaran under the banner Lyca Productions are bankrolling the project.
