Kamal on Chiranjeevi and Pan India craze

Universal Hero Kamal Haasan is known for his frank and no holds barred talk. He is not afraid to call spade a spade. He is currently enjoying the success of his recent release Vikram. Speaking to scribes, Kamal Haasan spoke about the Pan India craze, south stars, and Mega Star Chiranjeevi.

He said south films and stars always have that universal appeal but since they have decided to confine themselves to their mother tongue they are missing the reach and not that they other language people do not watch south stars films. Talking about Mega Star Chiranjeevi, he said had Chiranjeevi done films in Tamil Nadu, he would have become a big star even there but since Chiranjeevi had other ideas, he concentrated on Tollywood.

Kamal himself won the hearts and immense following in Tollywood with superhits like Swati Mutyam, Sagar Sangamam, Indrudu chandrudu, and Oka Radha Iddaru Krishnulu. However, Kamal concentrated on Kollywood just like Chiranjeevi. Chiranjeevi only did a cameo in Rajinikanth's Mapillai. Kamal Haasan and Chiranjeevi share good bonding and both starred in Idi Katha Kadu movie. Kamal even came up with many suggestions to Chiranjeevi for his next with Venky Kudumula.
