Senior actor Balayya passed away

Mannava Balayya, the most acclaimed actor, producer, and director passed away at his residence in Hyderabad leaving all in tears . 92-year-old Balayya passed away due to age-related problems. He starred in more than 300 films and appeared in important roles in Nagarjuna's Manam. 92 years old Balayya won the prestigious Raghupathi Venkaiah Award for the year 2012.

Born on 9th April 1930 in  Chavapadu village in Amaravati Mandal of Guntur district, Balayya did his  Mechanical Engineering from Guindy Engineering College, Chennai, and then entered into films making his debut with  Ethuku Pai Ethu. He even produced top films like Shobhan Babu starrer Chelleli Kaapuram’, Krishna’s ‘Neram Siksha’, ‘Chuttalunnaru Jagratha’ and ‘Oorikichina Maata’ on his Amrutha films banner.

Balayya directed ‘Pasupu Taadu’, ‘Police Alludu’, ‘Nijam Chebite Nerama’, etc. He won Nandi Award as the best producer for the film Chelleli Kapuram and as the best writer for Chiranjeevi's Oorikichina Maata. Family members and celebrities got a huge shock as he breathed his last on his birthday at his residence in Yousufguda, Hyderabad.
