DJ Tillu, the much-anticipated crime comedy starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Neha Shetty, Prince Cecil in the lead roles, is racing away towards its theatrical release on February 12. Directed by Vimal Krishna, the film is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments. A grand pre-release event was hosted in Hyderabad in the presence of the cast, crew and several leading names from the tinsel town - Ravikanth Perepu, Praveen Sattaru, Aditya Mandala, Vishwak Sen and Sehari actors Harsha Kanumilli and Simran Chaudhary.
The event had the vibe of a vibrant, happening-music concert with the composers, Ram Miriyala, Sri Charan Pakala, coming together to render the popular tracks from the film live. The live performances, expectedly, left the crowd in raptures. The entire team was pumped up, quite confident of the film's result and shared an infectious on-stage camaraderie.
Siddhu Jonnalagadda shared, "There has been a lot of buzz and positive energy around me over the last one week. I've been hearing of great bookings, sold-out shows, terrific pre-release business for DJ Tillu. I hope I make you laugh at the theatres. I thank my producers Chinna Babu (garu), Naga Vamsi garu for their support. Associating with Trivikram (garu) was a dream come true. Thaman has composed the background score like any big-star film. Neha Shetty may not be here today but I know how special is the film for her and I'm sure she's rooting for us."
Director Vimal Krishna mentioned, "I would like to thank my parents who've supported me for the last 10 years without putting any pressure on my career. The story of DJ Tillu was born out of our everyday experiences on how two characters like Tillu and Radhika would react to a few peculiar situations. Writing DJ Tillu was a memorable journey indeed. I and Siddhu were always focused on getting Tillu to resonate with audiences. I thank my direction team and especially my producer Naga Vamsi garu for trusting a first-time filmmaker like me, giving me complete freedom."
Producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi stated, "I had great fun listening to the narration of DJ Tillu and the impact has only multiplied manifold when I watched the film. DJ Tillu will be a blast in theatres and youngsters are sure to have a gala time."
Prince Cecil said, "I've known Siddhu for a decade now and I also know what it took for him to arrive at this stage. He had complete trust in his abilities, backed himself and the results are for everyone to see. I've never enjoyed and laughed so much while dubbing for a film. DJ Tillu team is more like family to me and when I was looking to try different roles, they gave me a superb negative character I couldn't refuse. I can't wait to be a part of DJ Tillu 2 as well."
Vishwak Sen added, "Every dialogue in DJ Tillu is like a bullet. The teaser, songs have created a great impact among audiences. I genuinely hope the film is successful for all the efforts this wonderful team has invested into it. DJ Tillu is a sure shot hit, no doubt."
Praveen Sattaru shared, "DJ Tillu is nothing but an extension of Siddhu Jonnalagadda on the screen. That's the reason the promos have connected to audiences so well. He is a go-getter and won't rest until he achieves his ambition. All his efforts are paying off big time now and he has found his voice in the industry."
Lyricist Kasarla Shyam, actor Pragathi Suresh expressed their happiness on working for DJ Tillu as well.
