Balaiah fans celebrate idol'c 50th birthday

Nandamuri Balakrishna, who bounced back with the thundering success of his latest Tollywood film Simha, on Thursday celebrated his 50th birthday at Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy Stadium in Yousufguda amidst his jubilant fans and Telugu Desam activists.

The event was special to Balakrishna and his fans as Simha not only gave him a huge box office hit, but went on to become the highest grosser in his career graph. The flick also figured in the all time hits list of Telugu cinema.

Balakrishna cut the cake brought by his fans to the stadium. Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu, film director Dasari Narayana Rao, producer C Kalyan, Daggubati Venkateswara Rao, Nandamuri Tarakaratna, Kalyanram and many film and political personalities attended the programme.

Later, Balakrishna took part in the shooting of his film Param Veera Chakra, directed by Dasari Narayana Rao, which happens to be the veteran director’s 150th film and the first film for Balakrishna under the director.

TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu gave the claps to the film produced by C.Kalyan under the  ‘Teja Cinema’ banner and Dasari Padma switched on the camera.According to film indsiders, the film will be on the lines of late NTR’s blockbuster Bobbili Puli.
