All clear for Saranga Dariya

All’s well with Komali and Love Story team

Telangana folk number Saranga Dariya from Sekhar Kammula’s Love Story is on every music lover’s playlist these days. Well, the popularity of the song has only soared with the controversy surrounding its credits. Folk singer Komali had earlier claimed that she wasn’t given due credit for the same and expressed her displeasure about not singing the number in the film. Lyricist Suddala Ashok Teja and director Sekhar Kammula intervened and did everything to douse the fire. Finally, Komali has confirmed that all the issues surrounding the song have been cleared.

Komali had met Sekhar Kammula today and clarified all issues. “I was unhappy that I couldn’t sing Saranga Dariya and conveyed my pleasure through the media. Having met the film director today, all my inhibitions have cleared. He’s promised to give me a singing opportunity in one of his upcoming films and also assured me that I would get to sing Saranga Dariya at the pre-release event. I have no concerns about the film or the song now,” she told.

Sekhar Kammula added that the controversy had erupted only due to miscommunication and there was nothing more to it. He claimed that he would live upto his word and give Komali her due in the times to come. This is one headache less and a sigh of relief for team Love Story. The love story starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi will have a worldwide release on April 16.
