Despite receiving mixed response from critics, Vijay Devarakonda’s maiden production venture Meeku Mathrame Cheptha is performing reasonably well at the box office. At the end of its first weekend, the film that marked heroic debut for Tharun Bhascker has collected a worldwide gross of Rs 4.05 Crores.
It seems youth are thoroughly enjoying the film which is high on comedy and has some unexpected twists. With no big competition at the box office for few more days, it is expected to rake good collections in coming days as well. Vijay’s first production is thankfully turning out to be a profit venture.
Abhinav Gomatam, Vani Bhojan, Avantika Mishra and Anasuya Bharadwaj played other lead roles in the film directed by debutante Shammeer Sultan. The music is composed by Sivakumar while cinematography is handled by Mathan Gunadeva.
