Superstar daughter borrowings at 25% interest!

Film industry is one such field where in a financial error will haunt your entire career. The same seems to be happening with Superstar Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth and wife Latha.

Sources from Chennai report that, Soundarya Rajinikanth and Latha have borrowed Rs. 1.1 crores from NAPC Properties Limited Proprietor Varun Manian at an interest rate of 25% for the production of their failed venture ‘Goa’ and received the amounts in two installments in the form of 75 Lakhs by Soundarya Rajinikanth and 25 Lakhs by Latha, in the name of Ochre Studios in 2008.

When both of them went in severe debts by failure of the movie, a case was filed regardingly on both of them by NAPC. As a part of the judgment, compromise memorandum was signed by both the parties and Soundarya Rajinikanth agreed to pay Rs. 2.33 crores as final settlement which will be repaid in installments.

Many in Tamilnadu are surprised by the necessity of Superstar’s daughter bringing money at such high interest rates when her father Rajinikanth’s movies are faring in Rs. 100’s of crores.
