For the first time in Tollywood, the revolutionary fight against piracy initiated by producer Yalamanchi Ravichand seems to be getting the necessary reaction from entire cine community. As a support to Yalamanchi Ravichand’s sitting for fast unto death before the Film Chamber, hero Nagarjuna has attended his camp to extend his support for the movement.
Nagarjuna criticized the Government in the state and the administrative machinery for overlooking the problems of cinema industry. ‘Government will be front runner in collecting each and every tax from the industry on regular basis, but when it comes to doing the needful for industry they never cared for us. This has been regularly seen from last six years where in no favors have been done for us. We continuously requested them to frame stringent norms for fight against piracy but never had they heard our voice seriously. There were continuous postponements on legal measures to control piracy. At least for now, we see some momentum in the industry to pressurize the Government,’ said Nagarjuna wishing Yalamanchi Ravichand for taking the initiative.
