Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s historic episode of Padayatra is being made as a film titled Yatra. Mahi V Raghav of Anando Brahma fame is directing the film in prestigious manner while Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy are jointly producing it under 70MM Entertainments.
The makers planned to release the film on December 21st for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s birthday. But, unfortunately for them, they couldn’t find an artist to play Jagan in the film. Mahi V Raghav reportedly prepared two versions- one with Jagan and other without Jagan.
They approached few artists like Surya, Karthi etc. but none showed interest to play the controversial role. Then, they have decided to remove Jagan’s role. This is a big blow for Jagan supporters. In fact, this development is the biggest embarrassment for Jagan.
Malayalam superstar Mammootty is playing YS Rajasekhar Reddy in the film which was initially planned for Sankranthi. But, the makers pre-poned it as not to clash with biggies releasing for Sankranthi.
