Mani Ratnam is a master story-teller. But, his last few films disappointed movie buffs completely. Now, the star director is coming up with a gangster film Nawab that features an ensemble cast that includes Prakash Raj, Arvind Swami, Simbhu, Vijay Sethupathi, Jyothika, Aishwarya Rajesh, Aditi Rao Hydari and Jayasudha.
Nawab trailer has been released just a while ago. Prakash Raj plays Bhupathi Reddy, a gangster who has three sons. The elder one is Varada (Arvind Swami), Bhupathi’s reliable successor. The second son Arun Vijay is not the cultured man that he is portrayed to be. And the third-born is Rudra (Simbhu), an indignant who feels deserted by his family.
A police officer Rasool (Vijay Sethupathi) is very close to Varada. But, it seems he has other intentions to make friendship with Varada. “Neekevarayinaa Best Friend Unnaaraa… Nammoddu…” says Varada pointing out Rasool. Seems like, the film is all about a war within family to occupy the Nawab seat and position.
All in all, Nawab trailer promises to be full on action. The film is scheduled to hit big screens in September.
