Legendary actress Savitri is not only known for her mind-blowing performances but also for her taste for fashion and jewelry. There were many fans for the stylish ornaments she used to sport during her hay days.
Nag Ashwin who directed the biopic has taken utmost care to show Savitri's royal life on reel in a never seen before manner. As such the costumes and ornaments are designed roping in special designers.
New Delhi's L.Bhajrang Pershad Jewelers' Naveen Singli and his team worked for 8 months to recreate the jewels donned by Savitri by taking her films Mayabazar, Devdas, Pelli Chesi Choodu and Missama as references. For recreating the 60 yrs old ornaments, a team of 15 goldsmiths worked specially with intensity.
Special artists were recruited to design other jewels embedded with gems etc. More than 70 jewel models are designed and Nag Ashwin finalized 35 of them.
