It is known that King Nagarjuna sometime back got his son Akhil engaged to Shriya Bhupal, granddaughter of GVK Reddy, a renowned industrialist. However Akhil and Shriya parted ways and cancelled the engagement due to difference of opinion and no word came from either Akkineni family or GVK family.
Sometime back rumors spread that Shriya may marry, cousin of Ram Charan's wife Upasana. Turning these rumors true Shriya got engaged to Anindith Reddy, grandson of Prathap C Reddy, founder Chairman of Apollo Hospitals.
Ram Charan and Upasana attended the engagement function of Shriya and Anindith. Many top politicians and film personalities were present at the engagement and congratulated the new couple.
