Talented director develops grudge on Tollywood?

Narasimha Nandi, the most talented director who gave National Award for Telugu movie ‘1940 lo oka gramam’ has now turned into a sex movie director with ‘High School.’ Why is a talented director who has the capacity do some good to the society with his movies has opted to go on a wrong path?

His first movie ‘1940 lo oka gramam’ which has won many awards at International and National arena has seen a fate which never a movie of that caliber faced. Even after screening of the movie for nearly 30 times, everybody has appreciated his attempt but none of the distributors dared to take up the movie and the movie was dead without even generating the interest.

Director Shankar who knows Narasimha Nandi said, ‘I spoke with Narasimha Nandi on the reasons for selecting a story like High School just after National Award winning movie. He explained me about the pitiful plight of his journey after his 1940 lo oka gramam.

“With no support offered to good movies either by Government or by Film chambers or Producers councils or even distributors why should I make such kind of movies which are not even eligible to get released? Why should I be on the same path which doesn’t work for my survival? So, I decided to come out only commercial was his answer.”

Narasimha Nandi developed a grudge kind of attitude towards the movies and he has come with this High School. It is just our Film fraternity which has killed the zeal in a good director and his abilities but strangely now we speak at National levels about the need for good movies.’

Although a debatable subject, but ‘High School’ is surely objectionable for its content say many Film critics and Welfare organizations.
