Nandamuri Balakrishna is continuing his trend as a Sankranthi champion. Except for Dictator, all his movies that released during this festive season have proved to be winners at box office. Off late, we saw the release of Jai Simha with mediocre expectations as it was releasing in a 2 day gap with Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyathavasi.
Well, after the release, Agnyathavasi turned out to be the biggest disaster in Pawan Kalyan’s career where in Jai Simha is emerging as a hit at box office. Though the critics have given a thumbs down to this Balakrishna starrer, audience have embraced this movie with open hearts.
With a pre-release of 27 Cr theatrical business, Jai Simha went on to collect 23.5 Cr at the end of its first week and is still going super strong at B and Centers. Special shows for Brahmins are also being organized at several centers. The major plus of the movie proved to be the dialogues and the screenplay with proper twists at the correct place. Women are also heard to have been highly impressed with the sentiment factor of Jai Simha.
Finally, our Balayya Babu three sentiments – Nayanthara, Simha and Sankranthi seems to be still working.
