An award-winning actor from Kerala, Parvathy TK has recently commented against the dialogues that are found derogatory to woman from the Mammootty starrer movie Kasaba that released in 2016. As soon as her comments went public, she started receiving threats and abusive comments from fans of Mammootty. Some went to the extent of hurling her with acid attacks and rape.
“It couldn’t get worse. A lot of people were pulling me down, threatening and abusing me”, said the 29-year-old actor in a phone interview to one of the national channel. She also stressed that she has read every single word written about her. Without naming Mammootty, she spoke about him as an actor par excellence and uttered her disappointment with the dialogues against the movie. And in no matter of time, she has been criticized by fans of the superstar.
Paravathy has recently won an award for best female actor for a Malayalam thriller titled Take Off. She clarified her stand that there is a need to draw a line in between what is glorified in cinema a what is reflected in society. She also made her debut in Hindi opposite Irfaan Khan in a romantic comedy titled Qarib Qarib Singlle.
