Pawan Begins Attack From Modi

Jana Sena against privatization of Dredging corporation of India

Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan has forwarded a letter of appeal to Prime Minister Office in favour of the ongoing agitation against privatization of DCI (Dredging corporation of India) by its employees. Whole letter that has been sent to PMO is published on his twitter handle as 7 part series.

Jana Sena president sees the sale of DCI to private parties as a threat to National security and a back- door method to scuttle reservations. He also added that this is a blow to social justice and revealed that there are vested interests to sell the profit making companies.

Dredging Corporation of India is a central government undertaking under the administrative control of Ministry of Shipping having its head office at Visakhapatnam. Jana Sena in the letter has also expressed its grief on the suicide of a youth named Shri N.Venkatesh aged 28 years after hearing the news of the privatization in fear of losing his job.

Jana Sena has clearly expressed its views and is strictly against the privatization of DCI for many reasons put forth in the letter. What’s more frustrating to hear is how government wants to privatize a sector that has been in profits for years. We will have to wait and see how central government responds to it and what will be the future course of action from Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan because he began the first political attack on BJP and Modi whom he once supported.
