Raj Kiran and ‘Govindudu Andari Vadele’ have a strange connection. The senior and most talented Tamil actor was first roped to play Ramcharan’s grandfather character in Krishna Vamsy directorial. After wrapping a major shooting part, something went wrong behind the camera and Prakash Raj was bought in as replacement.
While some say, Chiranjeevi was upset with Raj Kiran’s complete on screen dominance over Ramcharan, others say Raj Kiran hasn’t got the Telugu nativity charm to connect. Nearly two years after the film’s release, Raj Kiran’s fresh allegations on disrespect and ill-treatment he suffered at the hands of producer Ganesh Bandla and Ramcharan, Chiranjeevi.
Claiming that he was removed from the film due to Chiranjeevi’s influence, ‘I was not even informed about the replacement despite Prakash Raj repeatedly asked them for a No Objection Certificate from me. Producers still owe me 10 Lakhs and they never got in touch with me later on,’ Raj Kiran reportedly said.
