Tollywood is a hero centric industry. All the equations here run based only on a hero’s image and potentiality. Gone are the days when producers and directors are treated with more and more respect. In current generation, even top directors stand up before heroes with folded hands.
As if this isn’t enough, there are a section of heroes who irritate directors by keeping their subjects on hold without conveying an opinion openly. Months, years pass away and directors wait for a decision from heroes.
‘Directors and writers should be treated with immense respect because they put lot of creative efforts and pain in penning stories and scripts. When I don’t like a story or idea narrated, I say it firmly and try to explain them the reason why I could not connect with the line.
I am not like those heroes who prolong discussions for days together wasting their time. This is not a healthy practice,’ Venkatesh said.
