Of late Puri Jagannath is no more branded as a hit or super hit director because a row of flops are making him suffer. At this juncture, Puri’s next ‘Rogue’ is slated for release on coming Friday and he is very much open to speak about his disasters in recent times.
‘I cannot make all hit films. There are 100 reasons behind one failure. So, I just do my work and leave the rest. Release timing, opposition films, weather… many factors decide the result. Nothing is there in my hands.
There is a screen writer in Hollywood named Syd Field (Sydney Alvin Field). He wrote many books on screenplay and is considered as Screenplay Kaa Baap. Everyone here read his books and follow his rules including me. Unfortunately he wrote story, screenplay for two films and both of them are failures. So, theory is different from practical. Hit or flop, there is nothing in our hands,’ Puri answered very simply.
