If there’s anything to go by the Telugu trailer of ‘Nenu Shabana’ (dubbed version to Hindi ‘Naam Shabana’), this can be the best outing for Tapsee in her career so far. Though being a part of many critically acclaimed projects like recent ‘Pink,’ yet ‘Nenu Shabana’ coming as a spin off to ‘Baby’ dealing exclusively with Shabana Khan character is really something new for Indian cinema prequels.
How is Taapsee recruited by an agency concerned with National security run by Manoj Bajpayee, Anupam Kher and Akshay Kumar? What’s her flashback? Shabana Khan’s unique talent, attitude and her dare devil attitude in cracking the cases with all the support, need from agency is very well showcased in the 134 seconds lengthy trailer.
There comes Malayalam artist Pruthviraj playing Tony, the most wanted criminal and how Shabana takes on this case seems to be the actual plot. One woman who dared to do no one does and we are all looking forward to see Tapsee. Directed by Shivam Nair, the film is written by most talented Neeraj Pandey of ‘A Wednesday, Special 26, Baby’ and ‘MS Dhoni’ fame.
