PVP Making Money!

Ghazi Profitable Venture for PVP

Passionate film maker Prasad V Potluri of PVP Cinema’s poor judgment at story selection pushed him into major losses with ‘Varna, Size Zero, Kashmora, Brahmotsavam’ kind of films. Except ‘Kshanam’ and ‘Ghazi,’ the banner hasn’t made money on any of their other films. As per trade buzz, ‘Ghazi’ is going strong in many centers within domestic and overseas market due to strong mouth talk.

We seldom find producers accepting to take a risk on untouched genre like naval war. But, PVP and Matinee Entertainments took the bold decision to go with ‘Ghazi’ primarily based on India-Pakistan 1971 submarine war when Visakhapatnam was on the verge of disappearance from India map as Pakistan planned an offensive mission using PNS Ghazi.

‘Ghazi’ is today appreciated by critics, common audience and it’s a new attempt on Indian cinema. Hindi version ‘The Ghazi Attack’ released through Karan Johar’s North Indian distribution network is lauded. Apparently, actual trade figures aren’t revealed but we have reliable reports on ‘Ghazi’ turned out as a fairly profitable project for makers.
