If overseas collections reports are anything to go by, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ‘Gauthami Puthra Satakarni’ and ‘Khaidi No 150’ are traveling on non-parallel tracks though both of them are received to decent reviews.
According to the reports received till now, below is the breakup of figures:
Khaidi No 150:
Tue - $1,295,613 – 159 Screens
Wed - $157,854 – 162 Screens
Thu - $78,410 – 143 Screens
Fri - $103,840 - 114 Screens
GPSK:
Wed - $353,564 – 112 Screens
Thu - $135,962 – 121 Screens
Fri - $138,200 – 108 Screens
On a rapid comparison, ‘Khaidi No 150’ showed a drastic dripping in last three days after a thunderous premier record. On Thursday, it touched a further new low and never appeared like Mega Star film collection. Best reason is, huge number of premier shows has done damage.
In contrast, ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ is going firm and stable without any fluctuations. Thursday and Friday revenues from NBK being higher than Chiranjeevi (in very less screens) give a different inference. Till now, GPSK crossed half million briskly and might touch Million by weekend very easily. This is a great achievement for Balakrishna, given his weak past record in this part of world.
Let’s see, how the game goes on till next week because it’s a long weekend coming up.
