Unmoved by the disastrous result for ‘Selfie Raja,’ here is Allari Naresh coming up with one of his future projects unofficially known to be a remake of Malayalam film ‘Oru Vadakkan Selfie.’ In fact, remakes aren’t new for Naresh because his biggest blockbuster ‘Sudigadu’ is also a rip-off from a Tamil flick. Now, he is betting big again on ‘Oru Vadakkan Selfie,’ run-away hit in Kerala.
More than regular fun, ‘Oru Vadakkan Selfie’ has an element of crime and mystery blended with a youthful tinge. Nivin Pauly and Manjima Mohan played the main leads. It is a wise decision from Naresh to pickup this remake but who will be the right director to present the film with such gripping narration as the original director G Prajith can be a challenging question.
Boppana Chandrasekhar of Jahnavi Films bagged the remake rights and production would begin sometime in October month. More details on cast, crew are yet to be announced.
