Brahmana, Zero Controversy

Upendra Shivam As Brahmana Arriving In Telugu

If we name the most unconventional artists and directors who make a lot of difference to film watching experience in South Indian film circuit, Upendra stands on top. He is not just weird, so are his ideologies and scripting styles which are daringly and dashingly projected on screen. After opening to decent revenues passing through many controversies, Kannada film ‘Shivam’ is releasing in Telugu with a dubbed version titled as ‘Brahmana.’

Starring Upendra, Ragini Dwivedi, Saloni and others in main leads, ‘Brahmana’ is directed by Srinivasa Raju of ‘Dandupalyam’ fame. In fact, ‘Shivam’ was first titled as ‘Basavanna’ but severe opposition from a particular set of religious followers in Karnataka forced the producers to change the title.

Apparently, what we know is ‘Brahmana’ story and script hasn’t got any unconventional element because it has got a regular screenplay and a commercial point weaved around terrorism and temples. Without revealing more, let’s wait for ‘Brahmana’ to first hit the screens in two Telugu states.
