After the pathetic Box Office reaction towards Akhil debut film in VV Vinayak direction, entire Akkineni compound remained cautious in selecting the story and director for his second. Nagarjuna met plenty of writers and directors. He wasn’t impressed with anyone because Akhil’s second film has to be a super hit at any cost in order to make audience and Fans forget the sour memories of ‘Akhil.’
Thankfully, Nagrajuna’s decision to keep Vamsy Paidipally’s script written for Akhil on hold paid off. New shade in Vamsy to handle the best of human emotions is approved in ‘Oopiri’ and his knack at dealing mass hysteria around young star heroes like Ramcharan, Junior NTR was also certified in the past with ‘Yevadu, Brindavanam.’ So, Vamsy is now a new task master to be assigned with the duty of Akhil’s second project. As script work is already done, an official announcement regarding the launch is expected very soon. Till then, it’s a celebration of life with ‘Oopiri.’
