After listening to those pleasant melodies in ‘Pranam’ starring Allari Naresh and Sada, the first impression many of the music lovers got during those times was, Tollywood got one more wonderful musical talent in Kamalakar. For reasons unknown, he was sidetracked from the mainstream cinema and his name was heard very rarely associated with movies like ‘Vaana, Evadi Gola Vadidi.’
After a big gap, yet again Kamalakar’s name is slowly making rounds with upcoming flick ‘Drishya Kavyam.’ First song from the album, ‘Ye Kalalo Evaru Cheruno’ is really a haunting tune to keep Telugu cinema music lovers play in repeat mode. Away and above from contemporary regular commercial cinema music of DSP or SS Thaman or other sensational music composers, Kamalakar offered something fresh for ‘Drishya Kavyam.’
Written and directed by Bellam Rama Krishna Reddy, the horror comedy is set to hit the screens on 18th that is next week. Let’s hope that film will be as poetic as the title and music.
