Bengal Tiger, a Profitable Venture!

Bengal Tiger Into Profits From Wednesday

At a time when Raviteja suffered with a flop ‘Kick 2,’ his next outing of ‘Bengal Tiger’ could have never gathered positive momentum. Thankfully, the craze of director Sampat Nandi and efforts put in by producer Radha Mohan resulted in mind blowing response for the film. Trade sources say that buyers are quite happy with commercial result and are optimistic to enjoy profits from either Wednesday or Thursday.

As per a report from trade, following is the complete tally of ‘Bengal Tiger’ area wise sold out prices and collections till the weekend.

Area                           Distributor Price (In Crores)            Collections in 4 Days (In Crores)

Nizam                             7.0                                                        5.95

Ceded                             3.5                                                        2.60

Remaining AP                   8.5                                                        5.50

If the total revenues needed to recover the investment or say breakeven would be Rs. 19 Crores (AP and TS), ‘Bengal Tiger’ easily collected Rs.14.05 Crores in just four days. The rest of amount needed to make sure that buyers enter a profit zone is mere Rs.5 Crores.

It is a known fact and clear observation in cinema business that theatre revenues drop by 30 to 40 percent in weekdays relative to weekend within the first week. In worst circumstances, if ‘Bengal Tiger’ rakes Rs.2.5 Crores for today and Rs.2.5 Crores for tomorrow, buyers would be happy foreseeing their first profits from Wednesday.

With no big films and no possible threats till next week, ‘Bengal Tiger’ is favorable to stick with maximum theaters in second week. The inference is wide and open, this Mass Raja’s flick is a commercial blockbuster.
