According to information from Producers Council, Telugu film industry has lost over Rs. 30 crores since November 29 following political crisis in the state. Major share holders among these losses were declared as Arya 2 & Saleem, each bearing the brunt of nearly 3 crores because theatres across the Andhra, Rayalaseema and Telangana regions were not allowed to screen the films.
Next to follow were Pravarakhyudu and Amaravathi, each approximately bearing an amount of 60 lakhs. Losses may still increase due to non-screening of two big budget films “Adhurs” and “Leader” which did not release as per schedule.
