‘Rudhramadevi’ is a movie based on Kakatiya queen and Kakatiya kingdom is located with headquarters in Orugallu, the central Telangana. As Telangana sentiment is still prevailing strong in this region even after carving a separate state, there is no way ‘Rudhramadevi’ would go off the radar of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
According to official reports flowing in, KCR granted entertainment tax exemption for ‘Rudhramadevi’ in Telangana and this happens to be the first film in newly formed state to get the Government waiver. Gunasekhar approached KCR today early morning with the proposal of tax benefit and immediately, he gave the nod. Guna explained KCR on basic plot with which the movie is made and the CM was quite impressed.
As and when KCR finds some leisure time away from political assignments, he expressed the wish to watch the film through a special show. Gunasekhar would be the delighted producer and director because one day before release, his film getting tax benefit from TS government is surely a morale booster.
