Indian film industry’s well known personality Subhash Ghai met Telangana IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao to briefly discuss on the proposal of setting up an acting school Whistling Woods International Limited (WWIL) in Hyderabad. In fact, the Bollywood mighty personality finalized this plan in 2010 but suffered a setback as court quashed the land allotment. Now, KTR is all likely to make the way clear for Ghai by providing land near Rachakonda.
Into close details, the united Andhra Pradesh Government granted 20 acres of land for 66 years lease in 2009 near Golconda Fort to Subhash Ghai for establishing WWIL to offer training in film acting, TV, animation and media arts. As this was observed to be in violation of AP Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Rules 1960, the same land was cancelled by high level judiciary.
As Telangana State is welcoming the new developments in and around Hyderabad, Ghai on behalf of Mukta Arts came forward to offer the services. KTR is also reported to have requested Ghai to partner with TS Government in the planned Gaming City, a place where Graphics and Content Development for the film industry can be done. As this is first meeting between Ghai and KTR, more information can be made available in coming days.
