Veteran actress Sreedevi’s filmy comeback with ‘English Vinglish’ is a damn good decision. This film not only stood on its legs commercially due to Sreedevi’s presence but content in it also got enormous applause. Such atypical selections always make seasoned actors like Sreedvi very special. The strength and confidence from ‘English Vinglish’ is now shifted even to South as ‘Puli’ (Tamil and Telugu) in Chimbu Devan direction is hitting the screens on October 1.
The fun fantasy ‘Puli’ is made with extensive budget and Sreedevi plays Queen Soumya Devi, a central character although Vijay, Hansika, Shruti Hasan, Sudeep are other main leads. Coming to the Telugu version, there were reports about Sreedevi demanded 1 Crore extra remuneration for dubbing the Telugu version. When media tried to dig more on the same, she reacted positively.
‘I cannot go to each and every person to prove my innocence. Rumors are spread in many ways. So, I do not want to react or concentrate more on them. It is very sad that few of my close friends and relatives also called me up to get a clarification on this gossip. What all I can say is, ‘Puli’ is a fun filled fantasy. Pull your-self with your kids and friends to the nearest theater on Oct 1st,’ Sreedevi said.
