They very well understand and complement one another. I learnt Telugu while working with Shyam sir and named him as ‘King Kong.’
Whenever Shyam sir gets angry on the shooting spot, he used to shout at the crew members. His words even used to have harsh ‘Boothulu.’ As I cannot understand Telugu properly in those days, I used to interrupt Shyam sir in between and ask him meanings for some of those ‘Boothulu.’ Being a dignified man, he laughed at me many times saying, ‘Please do not ask me those meanings. They come out of anger and flow.’
He is the one who designed ‘Arundhati’ character which changed my career,’ Anushka mentions a special respect she has for Shyam Prasad Reddy Gaaru.
