Rajamouli: No One Will Remember Bahubali

Protracting a two and hour movie into two parts incorporated with plenty of main characters isn’t a simple task. In a small yet significant progress, ‘Bahubali’ has put first time Telugu cinema into a new space both on Indian soil and foreign soil. As on date, Rajamouli’s magnum opus fixed its position besides all time Indian super hits like ‘PK, 3 Idiots’ etc. For a micro regional cinema to achieve this macro feat needs a big elaboration.

Every aspect of ‘Bahubali’ had to be distinctive from regular commercial movies to gain this sort of a mileage. A film with all such innovative constituents will enjoy a long shelf life in our memories, by its own nature. However, Rajamouli winds up a contradictory inference for his super hit flick.

‘Down the line by three months, no one will remember ‘Bahubali’ or its climax. We have to again re-work on our marketing techniques to flash the characters of Kattappa, Shivudu and others. That would be a different ball game,’ the ace director presumes about ‘Bahubali 2’ when it hits screens by end of next year. Does ‘Bahubali’ still validate the impression of a ‘Evergreen - Memorable - Landmark’ Telugu film?
