This might be one of the dark secrets, may be only few in Tollywood know about. Venkatesh would have been a hero of National and International standards and charisma, if he would have done that movie of Manirathnam which got World wide applauds and that is “Roja”.
Venkatesh has given the green signal to act in “Roja” but was unfortunately struck up by an accident in which Venkatesh broke his neck and Aravnid Swamy got his luck. Next time, Manirathnam approached both Venkatesh and Nagarjuna for the remake of Tamil blockbuster “Gharshana” to portray the same roles of Prabhu and Karthik. Again, luck laughed at him as Nagarjuna was unable to adjust the dates. But, in this mean time Venkatesh has delivered the super hit “Chanti” which made him the house hold name in Tollywood.
That is why Venkatesh said, “Nothing goes as per my plan. So, I take the things how it comes. That is what iam today.”
