Taking into account high production values of V Ravichandran, music of AR Rahman and trustworthy brand value of Shankar, the movie of starring Vikram and Amy Jackson in lead is declared unanimously as a disappointer. Not just in Telugu, even Tamil critics lashed out at ‘I’ film for missing the trademark and stylish treatment one anticipated from Shankar. Till date, Shankar hasn’t failed in delivering promises despite how high you hike the expectations.
Coming to ‘I,’ majority are crediting the movie as a failure from Shankar’s direction side because Vikram, as an artist gave more than 100 per cent. He took to enormous physical strain for moulding his body donning variety of getups giving more of authentic, artistic and performance base value to the film. Finally if we sum up all advantages and drawbacks, the more of ‘I’ negative credits lied on Shankar. So, even if Vikram succeeded as a versatile actor, Shankar let us down as a director.
