The latest news of Anushka playing the character of ‘Bhagmati’ in the movie titled with same name has come like a sweet surprise for Telugu audience. While some said that, story of the film is based on Golconda Nawb dynasty of Qutb Shahi and the love of 10th Qutb to his Hindu wife Bhagamati symbolized with the city of Bhagyanagaram, what we call as today’s Hyderabad. UV Movie Creations, producers of Prabhas, Anushka starring ‘Mirchi’ are reported of producing ‘Bhagmati’ as one more historical film in Telugu cinema.
Here comes the correction from another source that Anushka’s ‘Bhagmati’ has no relation with Qutb Shahi’s ‘Bhagmati.’ It is just the name of character and does not have any links with modern day history of Hyderabad. If we are also right, ‘Bhagmati’ will be a commercially entertaining subject dealing with no fantasy or historical element attached. Ashok of 'Pilla Zamindar' and 'Sukumarudu' fame will be directing the movie as a bi-lingual.
