Kannada film industry had a big bunch of talented people and slowly catching the commercialism and standards of remaining other three regional language films of South. This time, three of the super hits from recent Tollywood are going as remakes to Sandalwood. They are ‘Mirchi, Swamy Rara and Prema Katha Chithram.’ Each of them is special in their own genres setting a new trend in Telugu.
‘Mirchi’ is a commercial blockbuster to be remade with Sudeep reprising the role of Prabhas. Then, Nikhil and Colors Swati’s ‘Swamy Rara’ directed by Sudheer Varma will have the Kannada version with Prajwal doing a Nikhil and Nikki Galrani, the younger sister of Sanjana reprising Swati while Vishnu is the director. Lastly Sudheer Babu, Nanditha’s ‘Prema Katha Chitram’ directed by J Prabhakar Reddy with Maruthi’s supervision has performed extremely well at Box Office is going Kannada as Sreedhar Reddy bagged the remake rights and Om Prakash is to direct it with Chiranjeevi Sarja and Shanvi of Lovely fame.
