Unfortunately, Tollywood has got struck in a spider’s web of entertainment with none of our directors having the thought of experimenting with a new story line or the format of telling. Only few like Chandrasekhar Yeleti are courageous to give a try with adventurous concepts like ‘Sahasam,’ arriving in theatres today. Long ago, it was Mahesh Babu and Jayant C Paranji tried their hand in similar adventure with ‘Takkari Donga’ shot stylishly. However, result was on the opposite side and nobody later had the daringness.
Gopichand, the hero of ‘Sahasam’ is damn confident to say the film as a straight commercial cinema exactly on the lines of ‘Takkari Donga.’ Producer risked huge money on ‘Sahasam’ which was shot extensively in Ladakh. Still, Chandrasekhar Yeleti calls this as a film of enough substance to win the BO. Wait and see how far Gopichand is capable of doing what Mahesh was not able to?
