Dubbing movies get the support of Supreme.

Not just Andhra Pradesh, the situation is same in 13 states of India when it comes to the fate of dubbing movies. Rajan Sharma of Ashirwad films, Hyderabad has filed a petition in Supreme Court regarding the high percentage of entertainment tax that is charged on dubbing movies released in Andhra Pradesh. He requested Supreme Court to implead remaining 12 other states like Tamilnadu, Kerala , Karnataka which are following the same slab system.

Supeme bench with SH Kapadia and Justice Aftab has took the case and started to look at the advantages and disadvantages of the rulings of High courts in Andhra Pradesh and other States. Rajan Sharma was confident that Supreme bench will accept his request and pass on the ruling to State Government’s to decrease their entertainment tax on dubbing movies thus levelling with local language.
