Dasari Narayana Rao is the most respected veteran who takes many initiatives for glorifying the prestige of Tollywood. However CM Kiran Kumar Reddy is known to have questioned Dasari on what kind of initiatives did he take in making Hyderabad as centre for celebrating the 100 years of Hindi Cinema?
Into the analysis, Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh is the biggest market for Hindi films while Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala are relatively new areas where Bollywood is slowly entering into. Then how and why did Chennai become the centre for marking the centenary from July 12 to 14? Very unfortunate to see none of the bigwigs in Tollywood took initiative to bring the celebration to Hyderabad. ‘When there are no monetary gains involved with this kind of celebrations, why will they consider the option? When CM enquired on the situation, it is better we should re-consider our standards,’ Yelamanchali Ravichandra said.
