The 60th National Awards were announced by the jury chairpersons on 18th March, 2013. Ace director SS Rajamouli's graphics entertainer, 'Eega' was conferred two awards, 'The Best Regional Film' and "Best Special Effects". It's a proud moment for Telugu cinema for bagging two prestigious awards at national level. Rajamouli must be appreciated for his outstanding directorial skills of this movie. * BEST SINGER: SHANKAR MAHADEVAN ( CHITTAGANG)
* BEST MUSIC DIRECTOR: SAILENDER BARWE ( SAMHITHA-MARATHI)
